Many lifts including the new Summit (2016/17) lift are high speed quads. When you are ready to head to the slopes simply walk over to the base of the Sunrise (Beginner/Intermediate) and Apex (Intermediate) lifts. In addition to some of the best terrain along the Wasatch Front Solitude has a fantastic Snowsports Academy offering private and group instruction for all ages and skill levels. No need to spend your day waiting in line with crowds when you can make run after run at Solitude. Want to take a break? You can return to Telemark Tracks from the top of any lift at Solitude. Skiing and Snowboarding at Brighton

Want to explore more terrain? Try local favorite Brighton. Like its Big Cottonwood Canyon Neighbor Solitude, Brighton flies under the radar. You can ski directly to Brighton from the top of the Summit lift via the SolBright trail. Spend all day enjoying a whole different resort with a decidedly local vibe. Brighton has a snowpark that is popular with both skiers and snowboarders. When you are done simply take the SolBright Trail back to Solitude. If you don't want to ski over you can drive a quick 2 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon to the Brighton parking lot. While Brighton doesn't have the amenities found at many of Utah's resorts the powder and terrain make up for some of it's minor short-comings. As of the 2018/19 season Brighton now has limited benefits on Alterra's Ikon Pass.
